John Hamilton is a Principal and Co-Founder of Embarcadero Capital Partners (ECP), a real estate development and investment management firm based in Redwood City, California. Prior to co-founding ECP, Mr. Hamilton served as the Chief Development Officer with Cornerstone Properties (NYSE) in San Mateo, California, as a Partner with William Wilson & Associates, a real estate development and investment management company in San Mateo, California, as a Director of Leasing with Hines Industrial in Houston, Texas, and as an auditor with Ernst & Ernst in St. Louis.

Mr. Hamilton currently serves as an emeritus board member of the San Mateo County Community College Foundation and as a board member for Cypress Funeral Services. Mr. Hamilton has previously served as a board member for various other non-profit and for-profit entities. At WashU, Mr. Hamilton served on the Parents Council from 2017-2023 and co-
chaired the Parents Council from 2020-2021.

All three of Mr. Hamilton’s children attended WashU, with a son graduating in 2022 and a
daughter in 2023. Mr. Hamilton graduated from John Burroughs School in St. Louis before
receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and his Master in Business
Administration from Harvard University.
