Nicholas Somers is managing partner of private investment holding company Somers Investment Partners, LLC. Previously, he was executive chairman and principal owner of IDS Group, Inc., an international supplier of enterprise application software. In that role, he directed all aspects of IDS’ strategic development and led the company’s international business development and staffing initiatives. Mr. Somers also co-founded and served as managing partner at SV Investment Partners and Greenwich Street Capital Partners. He began his career at Morgan Stanley and Chemical Bank. Mr. Somers serves as a member of the Council on Chicago Booth at the University of Chicago. In addition to his leadership on the Board of Trustees, he is a member of the Arts & Sciences National Council and the Greater New York Regional Cabinet, and he formerly served on Washington University’s Parents Council. Mr. Somers earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago.
