Jay Jacobs is retired president and managing director of global investment firm PIMCO (Pacific Investment Management Company), where he led the firm’s operational, administrative, and infrastructure areas. His previous roles at the firm include head of the firm’s Munich office and senior member of the European management team. He currently serves on the boards of the Peterson Institute for International Economics and Citigroup.

In addition to his leadership on the Board of Trustees, Mr. Jacobs is a member of the Arts & Sciences National Council and served as the vice chair for Washington University’s Los Angeles Leading Together campaign. In 2014, he received the university’s Founders Day Distinguished Alumni Award (Arts & Sciences). Mr. Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
